Guest data
The following fields are available in the Edit guest dialogue box:
Background information:
- Last name, first name, address (country), date of birth, passport number, nationality, notes.
Details:
- Address: salutation, Address line 1, address line 2, postal code, city, e-mail
- Credit card (CC): CC type, CC name, CC number, CC date of expiry
The hostel direction can define up to 6 more fields for additional data in Online Administration under “Data - Guests - define details”.
To define a category of guest details, click on “Add entry“. To change an existing field, click on the pen symbol. The order in which the guest details appear can be changed by clicking on the left arrows near the description (in view). NB: Existing guest details cannot be erased anymore.
Always make a specific field in the English language (and not in other languages only): the English name(s) of the fields are used to define variables used to send confirmation e-mails and pages.
Define a “Phone” field in the guest details in DormBook so that phone numbers entered in the online bookings can be transfered and saved. The name of the field should be exactly “Phone” (otherwise, data will not be saved).
