It is recommended to connect the interface to your own homepage (DormOnline) prior to connecting it to the Booking.com interface.
The connection to Booking.com is done with the following steps:
1.
If not yet done, register your hostel with Booking.com.
2.
Let your contact person at Booking.com know that you would like to set up the connection with Alixon (ID 170). Booking.com charges a fee to connect to the interface.
3.
As soon as point 2 is cleared, we will be contacted directly by Booking.com. We will settle some settings.
4.
We will contact you so you can define the portal/room category combinations for the interface to Booking.com in the online administration under “Online: Online groups”.
5.
Upon your reply we will activate the interface from our side. You will also have to activate it in the Extranet (back-office).
6.
Initially the synchronisation is done for the next seven days, so you can check if availabilities and prices are synchronised right. Upon your confirmation we will set the duration of synchronisation to the usual nine months (or the value arranged with the hostel).
Expiry date of a credit card: The expiry date of a credit card by which a reservation on Booking.com has been made, will be found in the e-mail to the hostel having the subject “Booking from booking.com: [hostel number]-[reservation number]” (as well as guests' e-mail address).
(Newer) e-mails to a hostel can be retrieved in the Online Administration under “Tools: Messages (e-mail)”.
